The sweater is knitted with circular needles. The body is knitted in the round in stocking stitch with a pattern border at the bottom, up to the armholes where the piece rests. The sleeves are knitted separately in a similar way. The parts are then gathered on a circular needle to form the yoke. Raglan decreases are made every other row (or according to size) at four markings to shape the shoulders. The pattern follows the diagram throughout the piece. When the correct length is reached, the number of stitches is decreased for the neckline, which is knitted in rib.
