How to make chain stitches

Chain stitches are the foundation of crochet and are used to start work or build height in different patterns. Here's how:

1. Make a starting loop: Start by making a loop of the yarn and placing it on the crochet hook.

2. Hold the yarn correctly: Hold the crochet hook in one hand and the yarn in the other. The yarn should be able to be pulled through the loop easily.
