Row 4: X 2 hdc in 1st st, 1 hdc in next 2 sts. Finish with 2 hdc in same st = 38 hdc.

Switch to color 2

Row 5: X 2 hdc in 1st st, 1 hdc in next 3 sts. Finish with 1 hdc = 48 hdc.

Row 6: X 2 hdc in 1st st, 1 hdc in next 3 sts = 60 hdc.

Switch to color 1

Row 7: X 2 hdc in 1st st, 1 hdc in next 4 sts = 72 hdc.
